Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well mixed and creamy
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined
Fold in the chocolate chips
Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft
Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely
