Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 4 whole wheat burger buns
- Tzatziki sauce for serving
- Lettuce leaves and tomato slices for garnish
Instructions:
Mix breadcrumbs, feta cheese, red onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano with ground chicken in a large bowl
Combine the parts until they are well mixed
Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty
Warm up your grill or pan on the stove by setting it on medium-high heat
Put the burger patties on the grill or pan and cook for 5 to 6 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked and the middle is no longer pink
Toast the whole wheat burger buns briefly on the grill or in a toaster while the burgers are cooking
Take the burgers off the heat and let them rest for one minute
Spread a lot of Tzatziki sauce on the bottom half of each bun before putting the burgers together
Put a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, then the chicken burger patty that has been cooked
Place a tomato slice on top of the patty, and then sprinkle fresh spinach on top of that
Last, put the top half of the bun on top of the burger that you just made
Enjoy the hot Greek Chicken Burgers
