Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup pickles, sliced
- Lettuce leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Add salt and pepper to the chicken breasts
Put the chicken breasts in a slow cooker and cover them with BBQ sauce
Set the temperature to low and cook the chicken for 6 to 8 hours, or until it is soft enough to shred with a fork
Take two forks and shred the cooked chicken
Then, mix it with the BBQ sauce in the slow cooker
Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat to get it ready
For a few minutes, until its hot all the way through and the edges are just a little crispy, put the shredded BBQ chicken on the grill or griddle
On the grill, toast the hamburger buns until they get a little brown
Put together the burgers by putting a lot of the shredded BBQ chicken on the bottom half of each bun
Put minced cheddar cheese, pickles, red onion slices, and lettuce leaves on top
Last, put the top half of each bun on top of each burger
Enjoy while hot
